Cairnholy I Chambered Cairn Panoramic Wall Art Print
Cairnholy I Chambered Cairn Panoramic Wall Art Print.
This high-quality photographic print is available in two paper options:
- Lustre Photographic - a semi-matt finish with a soft, speckled sheen.
- Gloss Photographic - an ultra gloss finish which gives images additional contrast.
Each Cairnholy I Chambered Cairn panoramic print comes with a 1/4inch white border, unless specified otherwise, providing a timeless and sophisticated presentation.
If you will be displaying the print behind glass/plexiglass the matt and lustre finishes are recommended to reduce any glare.
The use of acid-free papers and archival inks ensures that your print will last a lifetime without fading or loss of color.
Cairnholy I - one of two Neolithic chambered cairns perched high on a hill 4km east of Carsluith, Scotland. Built in the 4th millennium BC, it is known as a Clyde Cairn, a type of tomb characteristic of southwest Scotland.
Cairnholy II, further up the hill but less impressive, is said to be the tomb of the mythical Scottish King Galdus.
The name Cairnholy in Gaelic is 'Càrn na h-ulaidhe' - cairn of the stone tomb.
